A chocolate lover's chocolate - deep and dark, gentle and velvety. This is my children's favorite bar that I've made to date.
Tasting notes: chocolate, toasted almond, violet
This bar was made with 70% Ugandan cacao, 26% organic cane sugar, and 4% Honduran cocoa butter (that I pressed myself from the Wampusirpi cacao). The cocoa butter gives this chocolate a silky texture. Remember the Violet Pastille candies? Our elderly neighbor used to give them to me when I was a little girl. This chocolate has a subtle floral essence in its finish, and this reminds me of those old fashioned violet pastilles though not quite as cloying: sweet, floral, and sugary.
